2. Secondary students should contact the Office of Admissions at (800) 968-9500

3. Applications to Teacher Education (TE) programs are accepted twice each year:
   a. Apply in early January for Fall semester (August) TE Program admissions.
   b. Apply in early September for Winter semester (January) TE Program admit.
4. Eligibility to the COE Teacher Education Program requires:
   a. Admissions to SVSU (separate application process).
   b. A minimum 2.75 GPA based on the most recent 60 credit hours of university-
      level (credit earning) course work.  This calculation includes letter 
      grades for the most recent 60 credit hours of eligible course work, 
      whether from SVSU, another accredited educational institution, or a 
      combination thereof.  
   c. A minimum of 61 credit hours must be complete.  Entry-level courses do not
      count.  
   d. SVSU Basic Skills Requirement must be complete in Reading, Writing, & Math.
   e. Successful completion of the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification 
      (MTTC) Basic Skills Reading, Writing, and Math.  Score of 220 to 300 
      required in each area for passing.  See http://www.mttc.nesinc.com. 
   f. Completed PSYC 200 with 2.0+ or currently enrolled in SVSU's PSYC 100.
   g. Completed EDUC 201 with 2.0+ or currently enrolled in SVSU's TE 100.
   h. Refer to http://www.svsu.edu/coe/undergrad/te for additional and/or up-
      dated information, including additional program eligibility requirements.
5. Reminder:  Students should stay within the 62 credit transfer maximum when
   selecting courses noted above.  
6. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
   requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the 
   LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
7. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and 
   writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the 
   Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
