NOTES:
1. See the WMU General Education or MACRAO Transfer Agreement guides for
appropriate LCC courses.
2. Two semester credits of health and well-being courses are required for
graduation from WMU. Select from PFFT 114; PFHW 163.
3. Students should select from Music electives each semester (ensembles, opera
workshop).
4. Two credits of applied music should be selected each semester. Placement in
appropriate courses to be determined by audition.
5. Either class or applied piano courses should be selected each semester.
6. PSYC 205 should be elected by Music Education majors.
7. Select from MUSC 163, 164, 263.
8. Select from MUSC 193, 194, 293.
9. Admission to any WMU music major is by audition. Auditions are held in
November, February and March for entrance and scholarship consideration.
Contact the WMU Music Advising Office the year prior to transfer for
additional information.
10. Credit in applied music, music theory, music history, and keyboard will be
granted by WMU after auditions and examinations in these areas. Up to 37
semester credits may be used to fulfill degree requirements at WMU.
11. WMU requires all students to satisfactorily complete an Intellectual Skills
Development Program. LCC courses which meet the Intellectual Skills
requirements are: Writing: WRIT 121; Reading: Satisfactory completion of
26 semester credits of transferable credits, or the completion of ED 104 at
WMU, or exemption based upon a standardized reading test at WMU; and
Quantification: MATH 107.
12. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the

13. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
