NOTES:
1. See the WMU General Education or MACRAO Transfer Agreement guides for
appropriate LCC courses. LCC courses other than those appearing on this
guide should be checked for transferability to the four-year institution.
2. Science and mathematics courses listed on this curricular guide satisfy the
   MACRAO Transfer Agreement science requirement.
3. Selection should include only one course from each of three Areas (Area I,
II,III, IV and V) and should not duplicate Areas. Proficiencies, Areas VI
and VII, are included as course requirements in the engineering programs.
Do not choose general education electives from these Areas.
No more than two courses from any one department may be used to satisfy a
General Education distribution requirement. At WMU, at least two of the
General Education courses must be at the 3000-4000 level.
4. Two semester credits of health and well-being courses are required for
graduation from WMU. Select from PFFT 114; PFHW 163.
5. WMU requires all students to satisfactorily complete an Intellectual Skills
Development Program. LCC courses which meet the Intellectual Skills require-
ments are:  Writing:  WRIT 121; Reading: Satisfactory completion of 26
semester credits of transferable credits, or the completion of ED 104 at WMU,
or exemption based upon a standardized reading test at WMU; and Quantifi-
   cation: MATH 107.
6. This engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation
   Commission of ABET, Inc.
7. Completion of both MATH 254 and 260 will substitute for the required course
   in engineering at WMU.
8. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements.  See the
LCC catalog at http://www.lcc.edu/catalog for additional details.
9. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing.  To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
registration.  For testing hours call (517) 267-5500.
