NOTES:
1. See the FSU General Education Requirements guide for appropriate LCC courses.
One course may meet more than one general education requirement in the follow-
ing categories: Cultural Enrichment (CE), Social Awareness (SA), Global
Consciousness (GC), and Race-Ethnicity-Gender (REG).
2. Admission to the FSU Technical curriculum requires the completion of one of
the following:
a. An AAS Degree with at least 40 semester hours in the occupational major
and a minimum grade point average of 2.50 in the major OR
b. Occupational competence documented by the Michigan Occupational Competency
Assessment Center (MOCAC).
c. Students seeking admission to teacher education programs must read
Certification Rule R390.1201 which states that certification will be
denied if a person has been convicted, as an adult, of an act of immoral
conduct contributing to the delinquency of a child, or of a misdemeanor or
felony involving moral turpitude.
3. Graduates receive interim occupational certification with this degree. This
degree does not lead to secondary teacher certification unless the students
have an academic major and minor (i.e. math, English, etc.).
4. Students seeking an LCC associate degree must fulfill specific graduation
requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the

5. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
