NOTES:
1. This program meets the requirements of the MACRAO Transfer Agreement upon
completion of a laboratory science courses. The GVSU minimum transfer admis-
sion grade point average is 2.50.
2. Students will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in English composition
upon transferring to Grand Valley State University. Please consult the GVSU
Admissions Office for further details.
3. Students may want to consider transferring after one year (36 credits) of
basic courses. Required computer science courses are not available at LCC.
4. Degree offered: BS/BA. Students seeking the B.A. degree must demonstrate
third semester proficiency in a foreign language.
5. Job opportunities in the computer industry are expected to grow rapidly,
particularly as computers are used to solve problems in ever-expending areas,
including accounting and business management services and research and
development. Positions in the computer field include those in computer
programming, systems analysis, systems programming, applications programming,
software engineering, telecommunications, computer operations, and a variety
of positions in computer sales, design, manufacturing, and customer service.

requirements including the LCC general education core requirements. See the

7. This transfer guide requires basic skill levels in mathematics, reading, and
writing. To determine accurate course placement, students should take the
Computerized Placement Tests in the LCC Assessment Center (GB 200) prior to
