Chiropractic colleges in the United States require the prospective student to be
a high school graduate (or to present evidence of equivalency), have completed
and furnish proof of having completed a minimum of two years of 60 acceptable
semester credits leading to a baccalaureate degree in the arts and sciences (see
Note 1).  Credits must be earned at accredited institutions listed in the U. S.
Office of Education's Directory, Colleges and Universities.  Acceptable courses
include the areas of biological sciences, general chemistry or inorganic
chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, psychology, English or communication
skills, and humanities and social sciences.  College-Level Examination Program
(CLEP) is accepted by chiropractic colleges in the United States.  (Life
University and Sherman College do not accept CLEP credit in the sciences.)

In Canada, applicants must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of two years
of study (full-time course load) at a university in Canada or its equivalent. 
In the case of applicants from Quebec, a minimum of two years in the Colleges of
General and Professional Education Health Sciences (CEGEP) is required.
