Science & Math Challenges Program

Science & Math Challenges Program is designed for young people entering 5th and 6th grades in the fall who are high ability students in the areas of science and math.

Offered by the Science and Mathematics Education Center at Lansing Community College.

Sessions are taught by Lansing Community College faculty.

 þ The Science and Math Challenges Program is designed to stimulate the accelerated learner in science, math and computer science.

! You can have fun and learn this summer with challenging science, math and computer science activities.

" For one exciting week, you will do fascinating projects in biology, chemistry, physics, math and computer science.

{  You will learn problem solving and investigative skills with Lansing Community College faculty members.

The Program is open to those who qualify from Clinton, Ingham, and Eaton counties.

  1. Register online or obtain a registration form from your teacher or the Gifted & Talented Coordinator in your county Intermediate School District (Eaton or Ingham), or Regional Educational Services Agency (Clinton).  The cost is $300.
     

  2. Ask your teacher to complete the Teacher Evaluation form for the Science & Math Challenges Program.
     

  3. Send the Registration form, Teacher Evaluation form, registration fee, and your most recent report card to Pat VanNortwick.
