Regional Science Olympiad for Grades 6-12

Regional Science Olympiad (RSO) is taking place at Lansing Community College on Saturday, February 25, 2012. RSO is a science competition with 46 events where teams of 15 students compete. Competitions range from test taking events involving fermi questions and forestry, to events where participants construct robots, towers, or mousetrap vehicles to compete against each other.
Scores are accumulated in all events with at the top 3 teams from the middle and high schools moving on to state level competition in May. The 2011 winners at the middle school level were Haslett Middle School (1st place), Dansville Middle School (2nd place) and Holt Jr. High (3rd); at the high school level, St. Johns High School captured the 1st place spot while Holt High School placed 2nd and Haslett High School 3rd.
2012 Registration Information
Registration is being handled by Lansing Community College.
Registration deadline is December 31, 2011, no exceptions.
Registration fee for 2012 is $50.00
