LCC offers a two-year Associate in Applied Science degree in Chemical Process Technology.  Current and future job prospects are bright for people with this training.  Local and regional companies have expressed a need and hired people with this degree.  Chemical Process Technicians are in high demand today. Here are some of the industries employing Process Technicians:

As an employee, you will generally be involved in the direct manufacture of products.  You will monitor, calibrate and maintain equipment used in the production process.  Employees would also manage quality control and ensure plant operations are in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

What can you expect from employment in Chemical Process Technology?

  • Starting salary of about $30,000

  • Full benefits including health insurance

  • 401(k) plan

  • $40,000 per year after five years (considerably more with overtime)
