Award Requirements
Each year, Lansing Community College offers up to 23 Student Leadership Academy Awards to new, current and returning students who are interested in gaining additional leadership and community service experiences through a two-year leadership curriculum while concurrently following a primary college program of study.
The award is an annual educational award of $4,554 dollars.

Currently enrolled or returning Lansing Community College students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher and must be in good standing (i.e., not on academic or social probation).

High school seniors must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
LANSING COMMUNITY COLLEGE
STUDENT LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The Lansing Community College Student Leadership Academy is a unique leadership development experience combining leadership theory with practice on campus and in community service settings. Members are exposed to a wide array of leadership opportunities to develop a positive sense of leadership and service. The Academy uses Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society's Leadership Development Program concepts to produce highly skilled and experienced graduates in the areas of leadership and service.
Award Selection Criteria
Selection is based on grade point average, written personal statements, letters of reference, service history, and interviews.
