HUMAN HEALTH AND PUBLIC SERVICES DIVISION

  • American Business Women's Association (ABWA) Lansing Charter Chapter General Health Careers Scholarship
    Recipients must be pursuing a career and first degree in one of the health fields. Students shall have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
     

  • Ann C. Snyder, Ph.D. Health Careers Designated Scholarship
    Preference for students with volunteer or work related experience. Any Health Careers field will be considered. Recipients shall have a minimum 2.5 GPA and enroll for at least 12 credits. Financial need will be considered.
     

  • Belen Health Careers Scholarship
    In-district resident enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in a Health Careers program. Preference is given to candidates 25 years of age or older who agree to work one full year at a health care facility in Lansing. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or better GPA. Consideration will be given for financial need.
     

  • Ingham County Medical Society Alliance Health Scholarship
    Applicants must be a tri-county resident and graduate of a Clinton, Eaton, or Ingham county high school. Consideration will be given to students enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits in any of the following Allied Health programs: Diagnostic medical sonography, basic EMT program, career nursing, radiologic or surgical tech, or paramedic program. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required.
     

  • Jan and Joe Foster Scholarship
    Applicants must be in-district residents and should be enrolled in at least 12 credits in a Health Careers program. Preference will be given to mothers who are 23 years of age or older. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Consideration will be given to students with financial need.
     

  • Jan and Joe Foster Scholarship for Newcomers
    Applicants must be in-district residents and should be enrolled in at least 12 credits in a Health Careers program. Preference will be given to students who emigrate from other countries. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Consideration will be given to students with financial need.
     

  • Respiratory Therapy Scholarship
     

  • Theo Fulton Memorial Scholarship Presented by the Zonta Club of Lansing
    Preference will be given to candidates 25 years of age or older who are enrolled in a minimum of 8 credits in a Health Careers program and who maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Candidates must be in-district residents willing to work one full year in a local health care facility such as a hospital or nursing home.
     

  • Women and Family Counseling Services and Judith St. King Scholarship
    Recipients must be a second year LCC student and enrolled in at least 6 credits within a Human Services program. Preference will be given to a female who has earned a GED. Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.8 GPA.

  • Dental Assistant and Dental Hygienist Scholarship
    This scholarship is not intended to cover tuition but to cover course and lab materials and books.
     

  • Dental Hygienist Scholarship
    Recipients are selected by the Dental Hygiene Program.
     

  • Nancy Lewis Cullity Dental Hygienist Scholarship
    Students shall be entering their second year enrolled in the Dental Hygiene program. The criteria for this scholarship includes: minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum 12 credits, and demonstrate financial need.

  • Abrams Foundation Scholarship
    This scholarship is open to in-district residents who are enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits in the Nursing program. Consideration will be given to those with a minimum 3.0 GPA and financial need.
     

  • Dolly Semrau Nursing Memorial Scholarship
    Recipients shall be in-district residents enrolled for a minimum of 9 credits in the Nursing program. Financial need will be considered.
     

  • Grace A. Howell Scholarship
    This award stipend is for students preparing to complete the Nursing program. Selections are made by the Nursing Program Department.
     

  • Ingham Regional Medical Center/Lansing School District/LCC Scholars Program Scholarship
    Recipients shall be students at Eastern, Everett, or Sexton High Schools. Selections are determined through a separate application process coordinated by Ingham Regional Medical Center, the LCC Nursing Program, and High Schools. Recipients must be enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits and accept conditions of Ingham Regional Medical Center application and employment process.
     

  • Ingham Regional Medical Center/LCC Nurse Scholars Program Scholarship
    Scholarship recipients are selected through a separate application process coordinated between the LCC Nursing Program and Ingham Regional Medical Center. Recipients must be willing to sign an employment agreement with Ingham Regional Medical Center. Students must be second year nursing students enrolled for a minimum of 8 credits. Contact the LCC Nursing Program for additional information and application.
     

  • Ingham Regional Medical Center Peppermint Gift Shop Scholarship
    This scholarship is to support and encourage individuals interested in entering or advancing in the medical field. A separate application for this scholarship is available in the LCC Foundation office, LCC Advising office, or directly from the Ingham Regional Medical Center Peppermint Gift Shop.
     

  • Jamie Burgess Nursing Scholarship
    This scholarship is intended for students in their second year in the Nursing program pursuing a RN degree. Recipients must be enrolled in their second year of the Nursing program. Recipients must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and minimum of 9 credits. Preference will be given to a single custodial mother of more than one child.
     

  • John and Elizabeth Whiteley Foundation Nursing Scholarship
    Recipients must be pursuing a nursing career and maintain a minimum of 6 credits.
     

  • LPN Scholarship in Honor of Norma Pegram
    This is intended for students pursuing an LPN degree. The recipient’s personal statement must indicate goals reflecting the highest ethics and integrity within the nursing profession.
     

  • Nursing Program Fund
    Recipients are selected by the Nursing Program.
     

  • Pat Freeman Scholarship
    This scholarship was established by colleagues in memory of a caring and dedicated nurse. Recipients shall be enrolled in the Nursing program for a minimum of 6 credits. Financial need may be considered.
     

  • RN Scholarship in Memory of Miss Rena Pittotti
    This scholarship was established to support students pursuing an RN degree. The recipient’s personal statement must indicate goals reflecting the highest ethics and integrity within the nursing profession.
     

  • Second Chance Nursing Scholarship
    Students must be enrolled in the Nursing program.  Preference given to a student who was unable to successfully complete the nursing program due to academic or clinical deficiencies, but who has now been re-admitted into the program; must be at level II (student will be ready to take Nursing 260, 265, 280, 285) of the full-time or part-time career ladder nursing program.  They must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
     

  • Sparrow Hospital Nurses Alumnae Scholarship
    Scholarship recipients must be in-district residents in their 2nd year in the Nursing Program. Students shall enroll for a minimum of 10 credits. Consideration will be given to students with financial need.
     

  • Sparrow Women's Hospital Association Scholarship
    Applicants must be a resident of the SLICE area and in their second year in the Nursing program. Students shall enroll for a minimum of 10 credits and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Recipients must be willing to work for Sparrow for one year following graduation if offered employment.
     

  • Teresa Hilton Education Fund
    Recipients must be enrolled in 11 credits) in the Nursing program. Minimum 2.7 GPA. Financial need will be considered. Preference will be given to female, single parents.
     

  • Werbelow Nursing Scholarship
    Scholarship recipients must be in-district residents enrolled in a minimum of 11 credits in the Nursing program. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required. Applicants must be willing to work at the Ingham County Medical Care Facility following graduation if offered a position.

  • Clinton County Sheriff's Office Scholarship
    Recipients are selected by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and must be enrolled in a health careers, nursing, criminal justice, police, or public service program.
     

  • Firefighters Scholarship
    Students must be enrolled in the Fire Science program. Consideration will be given to students with financial need.
     

  • Honorable Alton H. Noe Scholarship
    Designated for students enrolled in the Criminal Justice or Law program. Recipients shall be in-district residents and enroll for a minimum of 12 credits. The student must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA. Financial need will be considered.
     

  • Hundred Club Police Academy and Fire Science Scholarship
    This scholarship is intended for one student who has been accepted and enrolled in either the Police Academy or the Fire Science program. This scholarship cover tuition and fees, books and supplies, and some uniform costs. Recipients must be a resident of the tri-county area, enrolled as a full-time student, have demonstrated financial need, and maintain good academic standing.
     

  • James R. DeLoach Scholarship
    Scholarship recipients must be graduating seniors from Holt High School with a minimum 3.0 GPA who shall be enrolling as full-time students in the Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement program. Financial need will be considered.
     

  • Julie Engelhardt Memorial Scholarship
    Established in memory of a Lansing Parks Police Officer who was slain in the line of duty. Recipients are selected by the Criminal Justice and Law Center Director.
     

  • Ron and Donna Granger Scholarship
    Scholarship recipients shall be enrolled in the Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement programs with a minimum of 12 credits. Students should demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
     

  • Tom Kangas Memorial Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund
    Recipients are selected by the Board of Directors of the Tom Kangas Memorial Law Enforcement Scholarship Fund. Applicants must submit an application and personal statement that indicate future goals and reason for pursuing a career in Criminal Justice, Public Service or Health Careers through their high school guidance counselor by April 15 of the application year. Recipients must be a resident of Clinton County, enrolled for a minimum of  6 credits, and maintain good academic standing.
     

  • Tournament of Friendship Scholarship
    Intended for minority students in the Law Enforcement program. Recipients must reside in Michigan, enroll for a minimum of 6 credits, and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
