farmedic programThe Michigan - Cornell Farmedic Train - the - Trainer instructor course is designed to train instructors for the Michigan - Cornell Farmedic Farm Rescue Training Course offered to fire/rescue/EMS personnel.

Training

The Train - the - Trainer Instructor Course includes classroom work, farm tours, demonstrations, and hands-on extrications using mannequins in real life scenarios. The Instructor Course requires 24 hours of training over two days and all instruction will be provided by approved National Farmedic faculty.

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will be qualified to train local responders (fire, rescue and EMS providers) in the 16 hour Michigan - Cornell Farmedic Farm Rescue Training Course.

Prerequisites for enrollment

  • Active in Fire, Rescue or EMS
  • Currently instructing in Fire, Rescue or EMS as a recognized Instructor
  • Sponsored to take this course by your current service or employer
  • Knowledge of agricultural practices preferred.
