Fire Academy
The Regional Fire Training Center
provides the Fire Academy Certificate Program to prepare
individuals in basic fire training and fitness. Successful
completion leads to certification by the Michigan Fire Fighting
Training Council for Fire Fighter I and II, Hazardous Materials
Awareness, and Hazardous Materials Operations.
The Fire Science Academy is a selective
admission program. In order to be considered as a candidate for
this program, students must meet basic admission requirements
beyond those required for admission to the college.

acceptance to the Fire Academy please print the application and
follow the submission procedures outlined in the packet. The
admission process and ranking can be found in the
Selection Process form.

mandatory
Respirator Medical Evaluation Questionnaire
along with your completed application.
