Strategic Planning and Economic Development
Fourteen years ago I began with LCC as a contract consultant in LCC's Small Business and Technology Development Center. It was a perfect match at the time since I was working on an MBA in Economic Development, and I was especially interested in working with small business owners in the community, helping them to grow and manage their companies.
In my current role I act as a liaison between the college and the community, continually implementing initiatives which can positively impact business, economic, and workforce development. The college is a tremendous economic development engine in this area, and I enjoy being part of LCC's strategic role in helping to keep the community dynamic and vital.
My parents came to the United States in search of the American dream, and early on I understood the impact that education, or lack of it, can have on you and what you hope to accomplish in life. Education has been the single most important vehicle leading me to a very meaningful career. And now in turn I have the opportunity to help inform and educate others so they can reach for and realize their dreams and pursue their careers.
My job is a driving force for me. I love my work and I love the people I work with, both here at the college and out in our community. And I believe in the significance of what we do as an institution.
