Program Information

Overview

The program is comprised of two stages:

  • Military Medic to Paramedic
  • Paramedic to Registered Nurse (Advanced Standing RN Program)

Students who complete the first stage will be prepared to take the national paramedic licensing exam (NREMT).  After the second stage a graduate will be prepared to take the national RN nursing licensing exam (NCLEX-RN).

Military Medic to Paramedic Program

  • 28 weeks to complete paramedic education
    • Traditional program 11-12 months
  • 778 hours
    • Traditional program 1058-hours
  • Student awarded credit for previous military education and experience

Paramedic to Nurse Program

  • 10 months to complete
    • Traditional program 2 years
  • Student awarded credit for paramedic education
