Career Ladder Nursing Program

Lansing Community College offers several delivery options in a Career Ladder Program in Nursing. Graduates who successfully complete the first year of the program earn a certificate and are eligible to take the National Council Licensing Examination-Practical Nurse (NCLEX-PN). Those who pass the examination are entitled to practice as Licensed  Practical Nurses (LPNs). Graduates who successfully complete the second  year of the program earn an Associate Degree
in Applied Sciences and are eligible to take the National Council Licensing Examination-Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN).  Those who pass the examination are entitled to practice as Registered Nurses (RNs).

Students who plan to apply to the nursing program must attend a mandatory Pre-Nursing Advising Seminar.  Dates are established
by the
Counseling and Advising Office (call 517/483-1904 for upcoming dates) or
