New Department Chairs
Dr. Kathy Burgis has been appointed chairperson of the
Math & Computer Science Department, Liberal Studies Division. Kathy's most
recent position was chairperson of the Department of Mathematics at Aquinas
College in Grand Rapids.
George Berghorn was appointed chairperson of the
Environmental, Design, and Building Technologies Department, Technical
Careers Division. Most recently, he served as director of forest policy with the
Michigan Forest Products Council and director of governmental affairs for the
U.S. Army Cadet Corps.
Marvin Ortiz was appointed chairperson of the
Transportation and Engineering Technologies Department, Technical Careers
Division. Most recently, he served as a Staff Analyst/Consultant, Applied
Technology and Services, for RWD Technologies.
