Employee Input

  • SunGard Integration Blueprint Services Meetings
On February 22 and 23, two SunGard consultants were on campus to conduct interviews with various groups, including most of the Banner teams, the President and CIO, Facilities and Operations staff, and College Advancement staff. These meetings will help the College identify integration technologies used by teams and their level of expertise with these tools, understand the strengths and weaknesses in organization set up and utilizing technology to work together across departments, educate teams on the value and needs for integration, and identify metrics to measure institutional progress in achieving a service-oriented institution.

  • A Luminisâ„¢ Platform Organizational Information Gathering workshop is being held on February 21 and 22. This workshop is designed to obtain employee input on the institution's current portal practices and needs of its various users as they relate to the Luminisâ„¢ Platform. Through demonstrations of the system's features and functionality, and discussion of current practices and use of technology, SunGard Higher Education (SGHE) consultants can begin the process of informing the institution's stakeholders about the Luminisâ„¢ Platform and gain an understanding of user needs that drive a set of recommendations to the Luminisâ„¢Platform Project Team regarding the development of the institution's portal to best suit user needs. Focus Groups are comprised of representatives from Admissions, Financial Aid, HR, Finance, Payroll, Library, Faculty, College Advancement, Public Relations & Marketing, Student Life, Public Safety, Facilities, Cafeteria, Students, Outreach, and Community Programs.

Hardware/Software

7 Banner databases (instances) were created for training, testing and implementation purposes. These databases are for conversion, play (experimentation), seed, test and training pre-production and production. The Finance Team is currently working in the test instance.

Banner Project Webpage

The Banner Project Team has identified some key questions about project evaluation, business processes, and self-service and has asked input from LCC employees and students to better assure positive outcomes. A Banner Performance Questionnaire was created on the Banner Project webpage and a Campus Communication about the questionnaire was sent. Responses, which were due February 9, are being tabulated and additional performance measures will be created based on the responses. Responses regarding LCC processes will be forwarded to the appropriate Process Team for consideration.
