Mathematics Program

LCC offers a standard college math sequence, transferable to most four-year institutions, consisting of MATH 121, 122, 151, 152, 253, 254, and 260. MATH 126 is an accelerated, one-semester version of MATH 121 and 122. To enter this sequence at the appropriate level, students take a math place test at the Assessment Center or transfer credit from another college (2.0 grade minimum within the last two years). MATH 050, 107, and 112 are offered by the Math Skills Department.

LCC also offers math courses that are part of two-year degree programs in careers divisions of the College, such as Technical Math and Business Math.

The following courses satisfy the LCC Math Core requirement for two-year degrees: MATH 112, 115, 117, 118, and 119. Higher courses in the standard sequence also satisfy Math Core.
