Ever get in trouble for playing with your food? In this class, it is required! Satisfy your science cravings with candy chemistry, pickle light bulbs, and lemon batteries. We will explore tons of hands-on food related experiments and the reason behind each delicious disaster.

LEGO Math NEW

Instructor: Staff
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
LCC East Campus
Tuition: $159.00

Test your building speed through build off challenges. Construct towers, design mazes and calculate our LEGO car speed. This class pairs mathematical problem solving with creative design through LEGO exploration.

Science w/ Experiments

Instructor: Carol McGrath
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
LCC East Campus
Tuition: $159.00

If you have a young scientist in the house they will want to take this lively hands-on class. Each day we will be exploring science with experiments like making glue from milk (the old fashioned way), building and launching a mini rocket, and making edible gummy drops, just to name a few. We will also have a live animal component each day using Michigan reptiles, amphibians, and insects. They will spend time learning about the animals, helping feed them, and handling some of them. Your young scientist will learn about chemistry, biology, physical and natural science taught at an age appropriate level.

Got GUTS?-Beginning Physiology

Instructor: Karen Delaney
9:00 AM - 12 Noon
LCC East Campus
Tuition: $159.00

(GATE Class - GATE Recommendation Form Required)

Sure we all do if we're living and breathing animals! This course is an in-depth, hands-on study of the digestive system, cardiovascular and respiratory systems in the human body. How does food break down and supply our system with energy? What keeps the heart pumping and how does it receive oxygen from our lungs? All these things and more will intrigue you and give you an appreciation on what your body does every minute of the day! This class includes a field trip to the Impressions 5 Museum to explore the heart and mouth exhibits.
