Electronic books are the digitized texts of book-length
works. Many are searchable. You can display eBooks on your desktop on or off
campus. Thousands of eBooks are available through the NetLibrary database.
Create an account:
To access NetLibrary eBooks from off campus, you need to create an account.
1. Go to the
Library Research
Databases.
2. Click on the letter "N."
3. Click on NetLibrary eBooks.
If you're off campus, you'll be prompted for your TUID and password. Enter them
and click on Login. The NetLibrary page will display.
4. Click on Create a Free Account (upper right corner).
5. Follow directions to create your own NetLibrary account.
Access NetLibrary from:
Library catalog The
symbol
represents eBooks in the catalog. You can limit your search to eBooks by
selecting "eBooks" from the dropdown menu to the right of the search box.
Research databases
Click on 'N' to access the NetLibrary database.
Search NetLibrary:
Within the NetLibrary database itself, there are two kinds of searches:
Basic Search:
Search by author, title, subject, keyword, or full text
Advanced Search:
Combine search terms and tailor your search results
Hint: For searching details, click on Help in the upper right corner
of the NetLibrary search page. Then click on Searching.
Read a NetLibrary eBook:
Click on View
this eBook. Readers can click on links to the table of
contents and index to go to specific sections of an eBook. Users are timed out if there is no interaction with
NetLibrary for 15 minutes.
