• General Sale Information
• + Where and when does the sale take place?
• The Big Book Bash 2007 will take place November 5-17 at the LCC Library located on the 2nd floor of the Abel B. Sykes Technology and Learning Center Building on LCC's downtown campus. Sale hours correspond with regular library hours.
• + When is next year's sale?
• Next year's sale will take place November 3-15, 2008.
• + Can you tell me if you have a specific item?
• We do not record the titles of items that appear in the sale.
• + How are the items organized?
• Sale items are categorized and separated into broad subject categories. The Book Bash Material Subject List will be made available online before the sale.
• + Can you hold items for me?
• We will not pull and hold items that have not been paid for. We also will not store your purchased items for more than 1 hour.
• + What types of payment are accepted?
• Cash, check, and StarCard payments are accepted.
• + Where do the proceeds from the sale go?
• All sale proceeds are used to purchase new library materials for LCC students.
• Sale Items
• + How much do items cost?
• All sale items are 50 cents each or 3 for $1. We do not offer any additional bulk discounts.
• + Is there a limit to the number of items I can purchase?
• There is no limit to the number of items you can purchase over the course of the sale. However, there is a first day purchase limit of 50 items per customer.
• + Where do the items come from?
• Items featured in the Big Book Bash are discards from the library collection or have been donated by LCC employees.
• + What happens to the unsold items?
• Items remaining after the sale are sold to a community group that provides free books to individuals that cannot otherwise afford them.
• Donations
• + Who can donate items to the sale?
• The Library solicits donations from LCC employees (including student employees) . LCC students and community members who wish to donate items to the Big Book Bash should contact Victoria Meadows at 517.483.1648 or meadowv@lcc.edu.
• + What can be donated?
• Gently used books, CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, computer software, and video game CDs/cartridges are accepted.
• + When is the last day to donate items to this year's sale?
• Wednesday, October 31st.
• + Where can I drop off my donations?
• Donations for the Big Book Bash can be dropped off in the Library Department Office (room 201 TLC) or the Library Checkout Desk (2nd floor, TLC).
• + Will you pick up my donations?
• You can arranged to have your donations picked up from your office or vehicle if you are located on the downtown campus. To arrange for pick-up please call 517.483.1647.
• + Are donations tax deductible?
• Yes your donation is tax deductible. You will receive a receipt when you drop off your donations.
• Employee Wellness Points
• + Can I receive wellness points for donating items?
• You may be eligible to receive 1 wellness point for donating items to the Big Book Bash. Please attach a copy of your validated tax deduction receipt to your Rewards Program Form for documentation.

  You may also earn 1 wellness point by volunteering to help set up the sale. Volunteers will also receive up to 5 free items of their choice on day of set up. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Victoria Meadows at 517.483.1657 or meadowv@lcc.edu.
