Make an Appointment with a Librarian

What Can I Expect from an Appointment?

When you meet with a librarian, you will get private, personalized and uninterrupted research assistance. You can get help:

  • selecting the best resources for your assignment
  • accessing and navigating electronic resources
  • developing search strategies
  • evaluating sources
  • citing sources

You will leave the session with a plan for next steps to continue your research.

How do I Schedule an Appointment?

Click on the button below to schedule a 30 minute appointment Monday - Thursday generally between 9-11am and 1-3pm. You must schedule an appointment 48 hours in advance. If the available times don't work for you, contact Chuck Page pageiic@lcc.edu or try another option on the Ask a Librarian page.

What Should I Bring to My Appointment?

  • A copy of the assignment that you are doing research for.
  • Research you have already gathered about your topic.
  • The study rooms have computers, but bring a laptop if you would prefer.

Where Do I Come for My Appointment?

Come to the Reference Desk in the Library and your librarian will bring you to a study room for the appointment. If you'd prefer research help by telephone, we can call you.
