A Celebration of Women Writers
Lists online resources about women writers including freely readable, complete, online editions of published books by women. Also offers browsing and searching of the women writers databases containing 10,347 women authors and 5,320 pages about women authors.

Indigenous Peoples' Literature
A forum for indigenous people worldwide, this site archives poetry and prose from Native Americans, Native Scots, Australian Aborigines and many more.

Native American Authors
This website provides information on Native North American authors with bibliographies of their published works, biographical information, and links to online resources including interviews, online texts and tribal websites.

Nobelprize.org
A list by name of every winner since 1901.  By clicking on each name you can choose from a fantastic assortment of information about the authors including full bibliographical information, their acceptance speech (in multiple languages and in video format), literary lectures and award photos.

Poetry Portal
A supplemental resource to assist students in finding criticism of particular poems. Additionally, this site assists would-be and established poets with very
comprehensive links in their "chit chat" and competition sections.

Poets.org
Features a poet index with biographies, photos, and poems. Especially interesting are the listening booth - an audiotape archive of poets reading their works - and a truly lively poetry discussion forum.

Project Gutenberg
Free electronic books in full text! Classic books from the start of this century and previous centuries, from authors like Shakespeare, stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the Tarzan and Mars books of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Alice's adventures in Wonderland as told by Lewis Carroll, and thousands of others.

Voices From the Gaps

An Instructional Website focusing on the lives and works of North American women writers of color. Includes a database of authors, a listserv and a list of related Websites.

Women Writers: A Zine
A modern, snazzy website filled with information about current and classic literature by women authors. Features book reviews, author interviews, scholarly archives, a message board, an editor's rant, a listserv and the opportunity to become a contributing author on the site.
