The Audubon Society 
A society of bird lovers, The Audubons promote bird watching and appreciation as well as the preservation of the natural areas required for their survival.  The website provides much interesting info and opportunities to get involved in protecting our feathered friends.

Conservation International 
The Conservation Organization is a broad-based group which details a wide range of environmental issues and how to help in resolving them.

Greenpeace  
Controversial, but effective, the Greenpeace website is a hub of information for environmental activists worldwide.  And it offers many opportunities to learn and get involved.

Endangered Species Program 
Information on endangered plants and animals from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The EnviroLink Organization 
Featured in the 1999 edition of Website Wow book, the EnviroLink Website is a polished example of well-thought out design, appropriately natural looking graphics, and smooth functionality.  And, living up to the name, provides many links to environmental organizations around the world.

The Environmental Careers Organization
This non-profit organization aims to promote interest in environmental careers and to help students of environmental studies to find employment in their chosen field.  The website contains current listings for the paid internships which ECO coordinates throughout the USA.

Environmental News Network 
A moderated content website related to environmental and science topics.

Indigenous Environmental Network
An alliance of grassroots indigenous peoples whose
mission is to protect the Earth from contamination and exploitation by strengthening maintaining and respecting the traditional teachings and the natural laws. 

National Geographic
News about the environment from a popular and well regarded source.

The National Wildlife Federation 
The National Wildlife Federation's website lives up to the standard of its award-winning magazine.  Features include lovely graphics and current details of endangered species requiring protection worldwide.

The Nature Conservancy 
One of the largest environmental organizations, it offers and informative and extensive website, including a database which is used by environmental scientists worldwide.  

Natural Resources Defense Council
Current information about environmental issues.

NatureServe
This website focuses on the distribution and status of plants and animals in the U.S. and Canada.

Science & the Environment
Michigan eLibrary (MeL) links to science sites.

The Sierra Club 
An organization which promotes enjoyment of as well as preservation of natural resources.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
Information from the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency on recycling, disposal of solid wastes, household hazardous waste and more.
