Accessibility Tools at LCC Library
What are Accessibility Tools?
They are a type of adaptive technology
which allow people with vision challenges to read text displayed on computers.
They are usually software that is installed on a
computer rather than a separate piece of equipment.

Dragon
Naturally Speaking
Dragon naturally speaking allows a person to treat the computer like a
personal clerical assistant. Simply speak into a microphone and your words
are typed by this program into a word processing document. |
Jaws
Screen Reader
JAWS uses an internal software speech synthesizer and a PC's sound card to
read aloud text on the screen . This is why it's called a 'screen reader'. JAWS
can also send information to computers set up with refreshable Braille displays. |

Microsoft Magnifier
