Citrix


Citrix is a program used to access the LCC Network from Off campus.  There is no need request an account as Citrix accounts are automatically generated for employees once they have set up their Active Directory accounts. 




 

 

Server descriptions

 

CIVIC and CHEVELLE are the servers most frequently accessed through Citrix

The following software is available on each system (more may be added later).

CIVIC
    Banner 2000
    Office XP (intended for Y drive access to MS Access databases)
    Microsoft Front Page
 

CHEVELLE
    Banner 2000
    Banner Front Door
    Access 95
    Access 2000

 

Setting up your Citrix account

Citrix Installation Instructions

1. Go to www.citrix.com, choose downloads from the white menu bar under the search box

2. Choose clients from either the text or right box

3. Choose "Citrix Presentation Server Clients package- version 10.0"

4.  Under recommended version click the "download here" link for Client Package Version 10.0

5. Click run

6. Click Run again

7. Accept the terms and click next

8. Click next on the next couple of screens, accepting all defaults.

9.  Click Finish

10. Note: You may need to reboot before accessing Citrix program neighborhood for the first time.

Changing your Citrix password

Your Citrix password is synchronized with your Star Port password, which is your Technology User ID (TUID). To change your TUID password, you need to log in to Star Port . When you change your TUID password, it is synchronized within minutes, and you can start using the new password in Citrix.

Printing in Citrix

Your client printers are "mapped" when connecting to either new Citrix server.  Before printing, always verify the printer your expect your print job to go to is the one you have selected.
