Training for Faculty The Center for
Teaching Excellence and the Organizational Development Department
have worked together to develop various training options for
faculty.
The Center for Teaching Excellence
offers Angel training for faculty. Face-to-face training will be available on various Angel
topics. These short training sessions will go into detail about
specific topics which will vary depending on requests from faculty.

This includes detailed information on
all of the Angel features.

Instructor Quickstart Guide –
This is a 56 page PDF file which includes step-by-step
instructions on how to navigate in Angel, create and manage
folders, upload files, create discussion forums, use the drop box,
use the Angel communication tools, and also how to use the user
access/participation.

Training
for Students Face-to-face training
sessions are offered for students enrolled in an online or
lecture/Internet course at the beginning of each semester. In
addition, students can access an online manual (Quick Start Guide)
in the help area of Angel or by selecting the following link Student Quick Start Guide.

How to login
-
Go to the Angel home page:
http://angel.lcc.edu (Angel
supports most browsers however Internet Explorer 6.0 or above is
recommended)

Login to Angel using your TUID and the
password provided by the Angel administrator
-
Select Courses on the left side of the screen to view your courses in Angel
If you do not have an account or have problems with your password
please contact the LCC Help Desk at 517-483-5221 or

How to copy content from your master
course to your CRN
Copying ALL Content from a
Master Course to a CRN
- Login to Angel and go to your fall CRN listed in the
Courses Area
- Select the Tools Tab
- Select Import Wizard (in the Course Management Area)
- Select Master Course
- From the drop down menu select your master course
- Select the Import button
* Please note: If you need a Master Course please send a
request to
moranj@lcc.edu
including your TUID and course title.
Copying/Linking INDIVIDUAL Content from a Master Course to a CRN
- Go to the Lessons Tab within your fall CRN
Select Add Content
Select Import Items
Select your master course from the box on the
right-hand side called Libraries
Select the Search button
Check the content items you want to link or copy to
your call number
Select Link to Items to LINK to content such as
PowerPoint presentations, any other type of file or new pages. If
an item is linked changes made in the Master Course will be
reflected in the CRN.
It is very important to select Copy Items for
any content items you want to go to the gradebook such as drop
boxes, quizzes, exams, surveys or discussion
forums.
Merging Courses in Angel
- From your My Page area, go to the Toolbox area (you may have
to scroll down to see the Toolbox)
Select Merged Roster Manager
Select the courses to merge from the list
In the Merged Course Title text box, type in a title for the
course. This is what students will see as the title of the merged
course.
Select Create Course at the bottom of the page
* Please Note: Content must be loaded into the newly created
course
