Refund Checks

All financial aid checks will be mailed to the current address. Students must keep their address current.

Fall semester 2009

Full financial aid refunds will be mailed beginning the first day of classes, August 20, 2009.

If the total amount of your financial aid award for the semester exceeds your tuition and fees owed to the college, a refund for any remaining credit balance will be mailed. Refund checks are mailed at the beginning of the first week of the semester and continue on a weekly basis as student financial aid applications become completed, awarded, and/or accepted.

Beginning Spring Semester 2010

LCC will mail refund checks in up to 2 installments.  1) a Financial Aid Advance Refund Check, and 2) a Financial Aid Refund Check.

The Financial Aid Refund Check will include any remaining balance and will be mailed beginning the fourth week of the semester. Please check this page after September 30, 2009, for a specific date.

The Financial Aid Advance Refund Check is calculated by the amount of financial aid awarded (based on enrollment level), minus tuition and fees, up to $800.  If your refund amount is less than $800, you will receive it as a one time refund.  Refunds up to $800 (maximum) will be mailed to your active address of record starting with the first day of classes. The Financial Aid Advance Refund Check process will continue for the first three weeks of the semester, with refund checks being generated on Tuesday and Thursday, and mailed within 3 business days.

You can see if a disbursement has been made to your account and/or if a Refund Check has been issued to you by logging in to the Banner Student System.
