The most significant factor causing students to succeed in Online/Hybrid classes has been their ability to manage time.
The more successful Online/Hybrid students report regularly spending two to
three hours each week for each hour of credit for a class. A 4-hour
credit class, for example, required a minimum of
eight to 12 hours of work
per week of the semester to complete all requirements.
Summer semester courses require more time. Because these courses are only 8 weeks long, instead of the standard 16 weeks, you will need to double the amount of time you put in to each course to be successful.
