Landscape
architects plan and design residential, commercial and public
properties. This may include home landscapes, housing
communities, parks and recreation facilities, urban green space and
commercial sites. Landscape architect technicians are involved
in the professional process of site analysis, planning, design,
layout, construction and management of landscapes. They strive
to find a balance between nature and industry in way that is
compatible with the natural environment.

Students should
enjoy designing and creating outdoor spaces, using a variety of
construction materials and plants. Working outdoors is another
