Horticulture Program

Grow Your Career in Horticulture

If you enjoy working with plants, you should consider a career in Horticulture.  Lansing Community College offers an associate degree in Horticulture as well as courses for professionals and homeowners who are interested in gaining additional expertise. The program covers topics from interior landscaping and plant identification to garden design. All of our courses are taught by professionals who work in the industry.  Our faculty pride themselves in sound coursework and take a genuine interest in your studies and your career plans.

Horticulturists are employed by florists, greenhouses and garden centers, nurseries, retail sales outlets, landscape contractors, design and construction firms and lawn care companies.

Courses are offered throughout the year and many are offered evenings as well as days to accommodate your busy schedule. Spring semester begins in January, summer semester begins in June and fall classes begin in August.  We've got a place waiting for you in our classroom.  Come grow with us!
