The Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan, formerly known as The Lansing Community Micro-Enterprise Fund (LCMF), was founded in 1989 as a micro-enterprise assistance and loan fund program to entrepreneurs in Mid-Michigan.  Its mission is to facilitate the development of new and growing micro-enterprise in low and moderate-income areas of the city of Lansing.  A micro-enterprise is a small business with up to five employees, requiring $35,000 or less in initial capital.  The Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan supports its clients and students with services as they become self-sufficient and capable of participating in the economic mainstream, contributing to a stronger community.

In addition to providing funding, The Institute has expanded its services to now offer continuing education, business plan development, and networking opportunities to hard-working entrepreneurs as they build sustainable new businesses in the region.

For more information, please contact Denise Peek, Executive Director, (517) 853-5890 or e-mail lancomme@tir.com.  Visit the Entrepreneur Institute of Mid-Michigan at www.eim-m.org.
