Lansing Community College kicked off the WIRED Entrepreneurial Initiative with a panel discussion and networking symposium that attracted more than 400 budding entrepreneurs to LCC’s West Campus. Coined, Own A Business - Own Your Future!, the event featured many of Lansing’s entrepreneurs, educators and business professionals. Over a light supper, Chris Holman of Greater Lansing Business Monthly lead a panel that included Dennis Pace of Pace & Partners, Mary Roszel of Beaner’s Coffee, and Larry Wood of Basket Expressions. The four seasoned business owners offered their entrepreneurial experience and expertise to which mid-Michigan’s future small business owners responded with sincere excitement and earnest appreciation. Attendees were invited to mingle with consultants and educators waiting to welcome attendees into the business community. Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce and Lansing Community Micro-Enterprise Fund joined LCC’s Academic Departments, Business & Community Institute and Small Business Training & Development Center in encouraging the business minded men and women by advising them of possible funding opportunities and small business development resources.
