Come Fly with Me! - Aeronautics and Rocketry

Tuition: $129.00
Instructor: Pam Tobin
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: LCC East

This hands-on class is a blast! You will start by learning how and why airplanes fly and take part in your own design of hand-launched aircraft. Then you will participate in a field trip to the airport where you will get up-close and personal with a real airplane. Sitting in the pilot's seat, you will be able to feel the controls and see the instruments and what they do with a Certified Flight Instructor explaining all the details. The second half of the class you put your abilities to the test as you construct your own rocket and launch it with guidance and oversight from the instructor. Along the way, you will develop and use your skills in math, science, and problem-solving.
