NCCE 800 African American Heritage Tour


Prerequisite: None


Detroit's African American heritage is full of significant and influential people, places, and events. A rich heritage that continues today. Stops include the following: Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and The Underground Railroad Living Museum located in the historic First Congressional Church, a stop on the underground railroad. The bus will leave LCC East, in East Lansing at 9:00am then proceed to LCC's Howell campus, located at 402 Wright Rd. The bus will arrive back at the Howell center at 5:15pm and at LCC East at 6:00pm. Parking is free at both locations. Students will receive complete driving instructions and information packets one week before tour. LCC East is located at 2827 Eyde Parkway in East Lansing off of Hagadorn between Grand River Ave. and Mt., Hope Rd. Students are responsible for their own lunch.
