Lansing Concert Band Prerequisite: Instrumental audition A community band serving as the official band of the City of Lansing. The group performs throughout the year and plays all types of music with an emphasis on traditional concert band literature. Participants will play in public performances of the band. Participants are required to successfully audition for the Lansing Concert Band.

Photo: Lighthouses/Landscapes This three-day weekend field trip to Alpena, Michigan will focus on landscapes, lighthouses and the scenic beauty of lower northeast Michigan in autumn. Instruction will include photo lectures and field trips to lighthouses and scenic overlooks of Lake Huron. Students are responsible for their own travel, lodging and meals.
