Watercolor
Prerequisite: None
An introduction to the materials and techniques that are unique to Oriental
watercolor and calligraphy. Examines rice paper characteristics and degrees of
paper wetness, brushes and tools, calligraphy, and inscriptions and seals.
Students will also learn the underlying philosophy behind the practice of
Oriental watercolor.

emphasis on more complex airbrushing problems including portrait rendering and
