Sign Language
Ms. King has her Quality Assurance Level III in the State of Michigan
which is the highest level obtained in this state. Ms. King received her
Bachelor's degree in August 2007. She has also successfully passed the
written portion of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf national
test and is in the process of preparing to take the Performance part of
the test.
Rebecca King graduated from the Interpreting Program at Lansing
Community College (LCC) in 1999 and has been interpreting and teaching
since then. Ms. King has taught numerous classes in the Sign Language
program at LCC, taught in the adult education program at Michigan State
University and has taught both second/third grade students and
fourth/fifth grade students Sign Language through the GATE program.
Ms. King has utilized her sign language sills in a variety of settings;
conferences, sporting events, church, medical situations, weddings, and
is employed part-time with Sorenson Video Relay Service.
