Beginning Chinese: Language and Culture
Julie Jiang is an instructional technician and adjunct faculty at
Lansing Community College (LCC). In addition to teaching computer
applications at the campus main lab, she teaches Chinese courses for the
district gifted and talented programs (GATE), A+ Summer camps, Michigan
State University Evening College, and LCC Extension and Community
Education.
Julie offers a study abroad in China program in the summer.
Participating students study Chinese culture and language in a short
course on campus and take an overseas trip to Beijing. She also consults
for professionals on Chinese cultural and business etiquette.
Ms. Jiang earned her BA in Chinese Language and Literature, associate
degree and certificates in computer information systems, online
teaching, and educational technology. She anticipates earning her MA in
Educational Technology at Michigan State University by the end of 2009.
