      Get Paid to Write: Introduction to Freelance Writing



                                                                                                                         Allena earned a BA in English and worked as an editor and marketing writer before establishing her freelance writing business, GardenWall Publications. She now writes and edits from her home office for companies, magazines and publishers like Gale, EBSCO and Latino Leaders magazine. She has also been hired to blog for networks and websites.

Allena now enjoys teaching others how to get into the business by giving seminars, speaking at writing conferences and writing an ongoing column online for the New York Times' About.com network.

When she's not freelance writing, she enjoys working on personal writing projects and travel to Mexico.
