The Division of Extended Learning and Professional Studies includes a variety of departments which are organized as follows:
Business and Community Institute (BCI)
BCI offers corporate trainings to companies residing in the community such as project management, leadership, information technologies, and much more.
Center for Workforce Transition
The Center for Workforce Transition works directly with Capital Area Michigan Works! (CAMW) and provides services to dislocated and otherwise unemployed workers seeking to navigate the job finding process in a troubling economy.
- Extension Centers
An extension center is a satellite campus of LCC that offers a wide range of academic and non-credit class offerings to a particular locale or region. These centers include but are not limited to the following locations:
- Lifelong Learning
Lifelong Learning offers a wide range of credit and non-credit courses for learners of all ages seeking personal or professional enhancement. Lifelong Learning programming compliments academic programs and promotes learning throughout life. Within the umbrella of Lifelong Learning, we provide:
Small Business and Development Center (SBDC)
The SBDC is an extension of a state program to promote entrepreneurship in Michigan. It offers helpful counseling and seminars for small business owners to be able to define, start, expand, and improve their businesses.
