CTE Grants
This section provides information, applications, etc. on grant funding available to faculty through the CTE.

Individual, Small Group and Departmental Consultations
Individual, Small Group and Departmental Consultations are available to suit your needs. In such a consultation, the CTE can address your specific areas of concern.

Small Group Instructional Feedback (SGIF)
Upon faculty request, the CTE will conduct a SGIF for instructors interested in collecting student feedback at mid-semester.

Teaching Circles
Teaching Circles are groups of 4 to 10 faculty who meet an average of six times throughout a semester, or an academic year, to work together on a specific issue concerning their teaching or students' learning. Refer to this section for possible topics for Teaching Circles, suggestions for forming and maintaining Teaching Circles, and to access an online application form.

Videotaping
Watching a videotape of yourself teaching can be an extremely valuable assessment tool. Videotaping allows you to view and listen to the class from the learner's perspective. By analyzing a videotape of the dynamics in your classroom, you will gain valuable insights into your teaching by identifying techniques that work and those that can be refined.

Applegram Program
With an Applegram, students and colleagues can voice their appreciation to teachers and staff for caring, helping, and sharing their enthusiasm. Click here to say thanks to a special instructor, tutor, librarian, counselor, administrator, lab tech or aide.

Faculty Appreciation Month
Although the Center celebrates faculty throughout the year, the CTE staff goes "Above and Beyond" during the month of April to recognize the important contributions of LCC Faculty to students and to LCC.

Faculty Feedback Project
For faculty electing to engage in a Faculty Feedback Project as part of the Faculty Evaluation process, this section provides resources and activities to support such a project.

Sabbatical Leave Reports
Full-time faculty members are eligible for a sabbatical leave after six years of continuous service at the college. The purpose of a sabbatical leave is to enhance a faculty member’s professional competence, and it may be granted for advanced study,

Requests for Sabbatical Leave/Professional Development Leave shall be filed with the Human Resources Department using the “Sabbatical Leave/Professional Development Leave Request Form” found at http://www.lcc.edu/hr/employee_forms/sabbatical_leave_20041207.pdf. All requests must be submitted by February 1st for the forthcoming academic year.
