Lesson 2.2: Student Feedback Techniques
General Guidelines For Student Feedback Techniques
- When soliciting student feedback, ask for specific, concrete feedback regarding
behavior that you would be willing to change.
For example, instead of asking them for general feedback regarding your lecturing techniques such as "Please give me feedback on my lecture style", ask "How are my lectures facilitating note taking?"
- Ask open-ended versus closed response type questions.
- Do not ask for feedback right before or right after a midterm/final exam.
