CQI Special Interest Networks

CQI members can participate in any of the CQI Special Interest Networks.  Each network is led by one or more facilitators and meets once a month or once every other month.  The purpose of a network is to give members an opportunity to learn about particular topics of interest in quality management and to network with others who have similar interests.  Meeting agendas, date, time and location may be determined by the participants.  If you would like to participate in any of the following special interest networks or be added to the email list for a network, contact CQI at 517 483-1363 or tennisj@lcc.edu.  If you would like to help start a new special interest network or have a suggestion for one you would like to participate in, let us know.  For the next scheduled meeting, see the calendar and events.

Quality Discussion Network
Would you like to meet with others interested in discussing quality topics?  Are you new to quality management?  Have you recently been asked to take on responsibilities at work for quality assurance, quality training, or other quality areas?  Do you want to learn the basics about what quality management is?  Or learn more in depth about something you already have been introduced to?

Tool Time/Tool Box Network
Part of quality management is understanding the principles and theories, and the rest of it is putting those principles and theories to work.  This network is being offered by CQI to give you hands-on experience using a variety of quality tools.  If you are interested in learning new tools, practicing a tool with a cooperative audience, or teaching one you already know, then you might want to join this group.  This network will meet every month at Lansing Community College's West Campus

Leadership for Insurance and Health Care Professionals

Enhance Leadership abilities and explore ways to set an even stronger, quality focused direction for the company through discussion with other successful professionals.  This group will meet every other month with a Brown Bag Lunch at Lansing Community College's West Campus; cafeteria is available on site.  Dessert and Drinks are provided.

Facilitator:  Bill Luxmore, CQI member and Dale Carnegie Trainer

CQI is collecting a list of other special interest groups that people are interested in.  If there is enough interest, we will work to find a facilitator to help get the network started.  If you are interested in any of the following areas, let us know:
Baldrige / Performance Excellence
Software Quality Assurance
Lean
ISO
