This is Kim's first term at LCC. She comes from a small, rural town and has never been separated from her family for very long. She is lonely and worries about whether she will be able to fit in here. Back home, her friends had known her since she was born. Up here, she feared people would not see her or accept the real Kim. Who can she talk to about her fears?

Mark, a sophomore, has just broken up with the person he has been dating since high school. He feels worthless and has lost much of his self-confidence. He doubts his ability to sustain any kind of relationship - personal, academic, or professional. He's considering dropping out of school and has even talked of suicide. He really needs to talk through his emotions with someone. . . but who?

Attending LCC full-time and working part time have gotten to be too much for Darren to handle. He knows that he must work in order to pay for his education, but lately his grades have been slipping because he has no time to study. He becomes easily depressed and has turned to alcohol as a way to escape the pressure. Where can Darren turn for help?
