 Q:  How do I log into the Network?

A network account and Technology User ID (TUID) have been created when students register for classes at LCC, so that students can login to the network and access Star Port to look up their TUID and set their own password. If you are on campus and you don't know your TUID or password, do the following:

  • Turn on the LCC computer;

  • At the Network Login prompt enter "techid" for the username and password;

  • Click on the OK button (you will be linked to the LCC web site);

  • Click on the button Request Access for Star Port , and
    provide the required information in the form and then click "Continue";

  • If you are new student, you need to go to New Students Start Here for Star Port Access first;

  • TUID will be provided for you by college and you need to set up a password;

  • Once you received your TUID and made a password, you can log into STAR PORT from the LCC home page.

After you opened the Star Port account, you need to log off the computer and wait for 10 minutes and then you be able to use your  TUID and password to login the Network. If you do not wait for an enough time, your account will be locked out. Then you need to wait for at least 30 minutes to login.

You can always call 483-5221 LCC Help Desk or 483-1038 Computer Lab ( or stop by computer lab) to get an assistance.

 Q: How to print from computer lab?

LCC established new student printing policies. Each student is provided with 150 credits every semester. If students do not use their allotted credits, they will not lose them. These credits will rollover to the next semester, where enrolled students will receive another 150 credits until they obtain a maximum of 500.

To acquire more printing credits, StarCard holders will need to go to one of 20 locations on campus (mini-tills) to transfer up to $20 from their StarCard into their printing account. The printing credits are NOT redeemable for cash, and purchased credits will NOT be lost between semesters.

If there are any questions regarding printing, please refer to the section on printing in the LCC Student Printing Policies, or see the lab staff.
