As a community college established
and supported by local taxpayers, LCC has a mutually beneficial relationship
with the Capital area region. Partnering with other community organizations,
decision makers, and public institutions, the College works to move the
community forward through education, economic development and cultural
enrichment.
Community involvement programs include sponsorship of non-profit events, joint
research on important issues of local interest, volunteer leadership on
community boards, committees and task forces, and promoting increased awareness
of the value of a college degree through communications and visibility in the
community.
