Janine Novenske Smith is known in mid-Michigan as an award winning actress and singer. Some shows to her credit are Evita, Camelot, Flip a Switch, A Little Night Music, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, Sophisticated Ladies, Songs for a New World, Working, Master Class, Rumors, Agnes of God and The Children's Hour. Janine most recently appeared at Meadowbrook Theatre as LaVern Andrews in Sisters of Swing - the story of the Andrews Sisters. Currently the female vocalist with the Lansing Symphony Big Band, Janine has also been the featured soloist with the Lansing and Jackson Symphony Orchestras. Janine is a graduate of Michigan State University, where her majors were Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy.
