Besides teaching Music History and Music Theory classes here at LCC, Molly is a percussionist and enjoys performing with several local ensembles. She also arranges music for salsa bands in Michigan and Georgia.
Molly’s research interests include 20th century wind band and percussion ensemble literature, pedagogy of musicology, Trinbagonian steel pan, and amateur music-making in the United States. Currently she is finishing her dissertation for a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in musicology from the University of Illinois.
